Digital Disruption/Uberization in Healthcare

Friday November 10th, 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Panel Objective:
The healthcare system is hopelessly fragmented, broken beyond repair, but a combination of low tech compassion and high tech tools can reconnect overwhelmed physicians with patients, clinicians with fellow clinicians, and link the present to the future. Healthcare is slowly being transformed from a fee-for-service to a value based care profession. However, with healthcare uberization technology will play a major role in this area from more attention to supporting wellness then treating sickness and concentrate on keeping patients in their homes and keeping them healthy. A surge in available health care data, including electronic health records and biomedical sensor data, is providing new opportunities to uncover data-driven insights and patterns of disease using machine learning techniques. The best examples for artificial intelligence comes from the ultimate machine, us humans. We will discuss various topics like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), etc., which will prepare physicians for their role as partners in patient’s journey to better health with the help of smarter technology.
