Connected cities – Smart Cities
The average estimate of the global population living in urban areas is around 4 billion. The migration of people from rural to urban areas is increasing at a faster pace. This influx is testing the existing infrastructure to its limits. In the big cities it is bursting at the seams – physically, financially and psychologically. How do we design and build cities of the future to accommodate not just the increasing growth of the populace with rapidly evolving, techno-centric lifestyles; but more importantly build a connected infrastructure to provide a healthy, skillful and values-driven workforce for the future.
