Todd Gray led the invention of the BioSole® and founded autonomous_ID in 2007 to bring this important new technology to market. They are the latest milestones in a career in designing, developing and implementing leading-edge products, systems and services. Recognizing the Bio_Sole’s potential, FLEX this year called the device : "one of the 50 most intelligent things on the planet."
In Mr. Gray’s early years, few observers would have forecast these advances. He dropped out of high school to support his family. Junior jobs and entrepreneurial failures accidentally led him to the telecommunications sector and introduced him to the early versions of the World Wide Web.
Through close collaboration with colleagues and research partners, Mr. Gray developed a passionate understanding of computers, networks and technology. Recognizing his rising potential, Bell Canada invited Mr. Gray to provide design, technical and national strategic alternatives for its Internet implementation projects.
Using the same collaborative approach, Mr. Gray subsequently developed technologies for the Motion Picture Association of America, the Recording Industry Association of America, contributing artists and representative associations.
In collaboration with retired U.S. military and government personnel, Mr. Gray turned his focus toward finding a method to identify a person positively, rapidly and without a need to authenticate the identification through an external source.
The BioSole fully meets this need. In addition, the technology that enables autonomous identification also offers numerous benefits in occupational health and safety, athletic training, and monitoring health conditions that affect the human gait, including diabetes and Parkinson’s. The Bio_Sole provides data from the ground up, augmenting wearable technologies with insights into individual weight, performance, and compliance with health-improvement programs.
