For the more than 15 years, Rob Cote has passionately pursued a path of helping organizations prepare and protect against Cyber Attacks. His career began nearly 30 years ago when he built an operational background supporting, deploying, and managing a wide variety of IT process and systems for global organizations. As his experience and understanding of how to uniquely solve client challenges evolved, so too did Rob’s interest in pursuing entrepreneurial ventures.
A wave of new companies flooded the market during the dot com era and Rob started his entrepreneurial journey by assuming the role of a minority owner and VP of sales for a startup firm that offered contract-based IT services. This early exposure to an entrepreneurial focused company fueled Rob’s interest in building and growing his own organization.
In 2006 after a multi-year stint working as the VP of sales for a local information security services firm, Rob recognized the great potential with cyber security and along with a business partner launched his own firm called VioPoint. As the CEO of VioPoint, Rob created a wide variety of cyber security service offerings while pursuing the acquisition and growth of new clients.
In early 2016 Rob sold VioPoint to his business partner and launched a new cyber security firm called Security Vitals. The new company represents the culmination of many years’ experience as it has rapidly built solutions that cover a broad spectrum of risk management. Security Vitals helps companies identify and effectively mitigate threats to their critical data. Their flagship offering is a purpose-built executive dashboard that takes event data from industry leading technologies and translates it into actionable executive metrics.
