Dr. Purvish M. Parikh (MD, DNB, FICP, PhD, ECMO, CPI, MBA) is a senior oncologist with more than 35 years of professional experience and varied areas of expertise.

He is co-founder of a startup healthcare software company that has developing a cloud based and app linked electronic health records and interactive platform. This platform has already revolutionized how doctors and patients interact – by reducing doctor time while improving patient engagement, smartly using technology and clinical management algorithms.

He is president of "Molecular Oncology Society" which focuses on application of molecular testing technology (including whole genome sequencing, circulating tumor DNA, bioinformatics) to facilitate precision medicine and improve patient outcome. He has also set up a tissue and data repository that is focused on oncology - storing tumor tissue, peripheral blood and normal tissue from cancer patients along with annotated clinical outcome data. This is with the support of NCI USA and Breast International Group, Brussels.

He also co-founded "International Journal of Digital Health" (ISSN 2329-8855) and "International Journal of Molecular and Immuno Oncology" (journal.ijmio.com).

Previously he was Professor and Head of Medical Oncology at the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai – the apex cancer hospital for India. He served that institution for 17 years and then moved on to Asian Institute of Oncology SomaiyaAyurvihar, Mumbai.

He is also member of Board of Studies and Board of Examinations at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. He has been part of several governmental committees as well as expert groups including for Dept. of Science and Technology, Dept. of Biotechnology, Drugs Controller General of India, Indian Council of Medical Research and National Disaster Management Authority.

He is/was editor in chief or emeritus editor of four medical journals (including Indian Journal of Cancer, South Asian Journal of Cancer, Indian Journal of Medical Sciences and Indian Journal of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine). He has received 28 awards for academic excellence.

His international positions include those with American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology, SAARC Federation of Oncology, Oxford University, Harvard Medical International, etc.

He is author of 18 books, 36 chapters in various other books, is first author of 80 scientific articles and co-author of 125 scientific publications.

He is part of senior management of four healthcare NGOs. He is also an entrepreneur, being on the board of directors for six companies/ organizations.

He has also conducted 74 seminars on Medicolegal aspects across India and has been member of five ethics committees.
