Lisa Lunsford is the CEO and co-founder of Global Strategic Supply Solutions (GS3 Global), and the vice president of sales and marketing for the Livonia, Michigan-based Deshler Group, which includes GS3 Global.

Lunsford founded GS3 Global in 2010, and under her leadership the manufacturing and engineering company has grown to over 100 employees and generated more than $34 million in revenue over the last two years. GS3 Global is a Tier One supplier to major automotive original equipment manufacturers, and also specializes in providing engineering as a service, working directly with clients to engineer, manufacture, assemble, package and ship solutions that exceed expectations.

Lunsford’s extensive technology background includes 28 years in the automotive industry, with 16 years as a business owner. Her experience also includes a decade as a research and product development engineer at Ford Motor Company, as well as her creation of I Thinc, LLC, a software development company.

Among other recognitions, in 2016 Lunsford was named one of Crain’s 100 Most Influential Women, and she was among the eight women featured in DBusiness Magazine’s 2016 ‘Powered By Women’ issue. She was honored in 2015 by Automotive News as one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry, one of only six female CEOs of automakers and suppliers on the list, as well as one of four African American women included. Also in 2015, Lunsford was inducted into the Michigan Chronicle’s annual class of Women of Excellence. GS3 Global won the 2014 Supplier of the Year Award from the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC), and the 2015 Regional Supplier of the Year Award from the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).

Lunsford holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. Also a board member of the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP), Lunsford resides in Detroit, Michigan, with her husband, Johnny, and daughter, Olivia.
