Jeff Bell is the chief information security officer for CareTech Solutions. Jeff’s experience in healthcare IT and cybersecurity spans more than 29 years. He previously held IT management and leadership positions with the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) and the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Michigan (VNA) and most recently in the cybersecurity and privacy practice at PwC. At the VNA Jeff was the IT Director/CIO and security officer. At the DMC Jeff’s positions included Manager of System Integration and Manager of Client Services, Huron Valley Hospital.
Jeff has the CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional), GSLC (GIAC Security Leadership) and CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems) certifications. He is past chair of the HIMSS Privacy and Security Committee. He was previously the chair of the Risk Assessment Workgroup of the HIMSS Privacy and Security Committee and is a past member of the CPOE Workgroup of the HIMSS Enterprise Information Systems Committee. Jeff is a member of the SANS advisory board, a member of InfraGard and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
