Ms. Chaturvedi has over 17 years of capital markets and financial management experience. She has guided middle market companies in defining growth trajectories and implementing financial strategies to create stakeholder value. As an entrepreneur, investment banker and an investor, she brings forth a unique perspective to the strategic planning process.
She is founder and Managing Director of Accelerator Group, LLC a strategic advisory services firm focused on providing advisory services in areas of business combinations, mergers and acquisitions and raising growth capital. The firm’s industry current practice areas include manufacturing (special focus – automotive), food & agri and healthcare & pharmaceuticals. It also provides customized knowledge services in areas of business intelligence, market research, data management and analysis (statistical and financial). The firm has a robust India specific practice and has offices in India and USA.
Prior to this she was a Senior Consultant at Amherst Partners, LLC an investment-banking firm focused on providing financial advisory services to small and middle market companies. In this capacity she originated deals and advised clients with merger, acquisition, divestiture and similar strategic transactions. Her responsibilities included identifying and evaluating targets or acquirers, structuring the transaction, negotiating details of the deal, assisting in due diligence and closing the deal. Her practice focused on transactions in the information technology and healthcare industries.
Prior to Amherst Capital, Ms. Chaturvedi was a co-founder of Rasee Investments Group; a company dedicated to assisting foreign investors invest in Indian capital markets and establish joint ventures with Indian based companies. She advised on half a dozen joint ventures in the business services industry.
As an investment banker with JM Morgan Stanley (Indian affiliate of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter) she guided corporate clients to access financial markets through initial public offerings, secondary issues, syndicated long-term loans and private placements. During her tenure, she successfully raised equity and debt capital through private placements and public capital markets.
Ms. Chaturvedi has successfully initiated, promoted and co-founded with local and national industry leaders, the Detroit Chapter of The IndUS Entrepreneurs. This forum is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship. Ms. Chaturvedi is the past president of TiE Detroit.
As a member of the Board of Directors of I-Team, a Michigan Directorship organization, Ms. Chaturvedi co-chaired the Michigan IT Summit 2002 - a forum dedicated to promote Information Technology and associated businesses in the State of Michigan. She has served on the Board of Trustees of Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan and is a member of the Women’s Economic Club. She was the founding member of the Great Lakes Manufacturing Council – a multi-state effort facilitated by the Detroit Regional Chamber to promote competitiveness among manufacturing businesses in Midwest and Canada. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the International Business Council within Automation Alley – an economic and business development organization in Michigan.
Ms. Chaturvedi has participated in several international conferences as speaker and panelist. In January 2003, she participated in the first Worldwide Expatriate Asian Indian Conference (Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, 2003) in India.
Ms. Chaturvedi holds a Masters degree in Finance from Boston College and an undergraduate degree with honors in Economics from Delhi University in India.
Ms. Chaturvedi was named to Crain’s Detroit Business “40 under 40” list in 2001. This is an honor bestowed upon businesspersons with significant professional accomplishments.
In 2002, Ms. Chaturvedi was named to Crain’s Detroit Business “Detroit’s Most Influential Business Women” list.
In 2004, Ms. Chaturvedi was named to Detroit’s Enterprising Women list by the Detroit Historical Society.
In 2006, she was recognized a Woman of Distinction for her Outstanding Contribution to Business by the Asian Indian Women’s Association in Michigan, USA.
In 2006, she was elected to the Board of Trustees of TiE Global (www.tie.org). TiE, The Indus Entrepreneurs, also known as Talent Ideas and Enterprise is a global, non-profit network dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship.
