Anu Gopalakrishnan is an alumnus, rank holder and an honors student of Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti and Madras University, Chennai, India with two Masters in Communications/Journalism.

On the community front, Anu leads the marketing efforts for miindia.com and has helped establish miindia.com as one of the leading ethnic community portals/brands in the United States for web traffic and loyalty. She has a passion for writing and has interviewed numerous world renowned personalities including former president of India Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Hariharan, Violin maestro Dr. L Subramaniam, Sitar Maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar and his daughter Anoushka, several bollywood actors and musicians. Anu’s column popularly known as the Inspirational Michigan Indian is featured on Miindia.com. She has the record of interviewing several achievers and prominent personalities in the Michigan business community, including TiE Charter members Mr. Raj Vattikutti, Mr. B.N Bahadur, Dr. Haren Gandhi, Mr. Ron Shahani, Mr. Singh Grewal, Mr. Chain Sandhu apart from corporate stalwarts like Infosys honcho Mr. Narayana Murthy, the corporate charioteer Swami Parthasarathy. Anu has also interviewed the Grammy/Oscar award winner A.R. Rahman apart from emceeing his music concert in Michigan. She is a regular as an emcee for several events across Michigan and raised funds for numerous charitable organizations in Michigan and in India.

Anu launched her radio show Rockin' Raaga in 2005 offering for the first time in North America, a regional contemporary music format encompassing 7 languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Punjabi. The show is North America’s first in regional Indian music and acts as a great vehicle for marketing new releases.

On the professional front, Anu heads a Brand Management firm called Nu Media Markets that specializes in innovative marketing strategies include complete brand makeover - print and digital (web and mobile) for over forty domestic and international retail products. Anu Gopalakrishnan is actively involved with TiE Detroit and its annual event TiECon Midwest 2010 wearing several hats from being a Branding, Marketing to Operations and Media chair. Anu is also currently working to expand the audio visual component of Miindia.TV

Anu lives in Northville with her Physical Therapist/ Naturopath husband Dr. Deepak Sebastian and their two year old son Taneesh.
