Graydon A. Reitz is Global Director, Electrical & Electronic Systems Engineering (EESE). He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance at the University of Michigan. His career with Ford Motor Company began in 1983 as an Electric Vehicle Research Engineer in Research Staff. He has served in a variety of engineering and leadership positions in Product Development and Quality in both North America and Europe.
In Graydon’s previous position as Director, Americas Quality, Ford leap-frogged the competition and is now the industry’s highest quality full-line manufacturer as recognized by the JD Power Initial Quality Study.
Over the course of his career, he has been instrumental in delivering a number of product programs to market including Escort, Thunderbird, Town Car, Aviator, Expedition and Navigator and has been awarded several U.S. patents in vehicle control systems. As Director, Electrical/Electronics Systems Engineering he developed the industry leading SYNC system making Ford the leader in Infotainment.
In his free time, his passions include basketball, snow skiing, snowmobiling and water skiing.
A combination of coaching, teaching and development characterize Mr. Reitz's leadership style. He has a sincere development approach with employees and strives to continuously improve the capability of his people.
